El pasado día 20 de diciembre los alumnos y alumnas de 6º volvieron a realizar la actividad de los “Christmas Crackers”.

Los Christmas Crackers son parte de la tradición de las celebraciones de Navidad en el Reino Unido y países como Australia y Nueva Zelanda.

Un Christmas cracker consiste en un rollo de cartón envuelto en papel decorado que contiene un mensaje y un regalito pequeño (en nuestro caso chucherías).

El Christmas Cracker se tira entre dos personas y se rompe, cuando rompe se produce un pequeño disparo y fuera cae el regalito con el mensaje navideño.

El inventor del Christmas Cracker fue Tom Smith en Londres en 1847, era el propietario de una tienda de caramelos.

Al principio los “crackers” tenían caramelos, pero actualmente han cambiado. Ahora hacen ruido. El motivo del ruido viene del fuego, que al ponerle lecha, ésta hacía crakle. Además en su interior ya no esconden golosinas, sino pequeños regalitos y unas coronas de papel de colores.

On December 20 pupils in 6th again the activity of the «Christmas Crackers«.

The Christmas Crackers are part of the tradition of Christmas celebrations in the UKand countries such as Australia and New Zealand.

A Christmas cracker is a roll of cardboard wrapped in decorated paper containing amessage and a small gift (in our case trinkets).

The Christmas Cracker is pulled between two people and breaks, when it breaksthere is a small shot and falls off the gift with the Christmas message.

The inventor of the Christmas Cracker was Tom Smith in London in 1847, was theowner of a candy store.

At first the «crackers« were candy, but now have changed. Now make noise. Thereason for the noise coming from the fire, that when they put milk, it was crakle.Moreover, you no longer hide candy, but small gifts and crowns of colored paper.
